I am my kids' dad and my wife's husband. Christian, conservative, Southern, occasional hunter (eat what you kill or don't hunt!). Fan of football, NASCAR, and Rush Limbaugh, but also Public Radio, Garrison Keillor, and Alternative Energy. How's that for a paradox....?

"Bahamarama"; and "Jamaica Me Dead"; by Bob Morris, anything by Greg Iles, Anne Rice, Tom Clancy, or John Irving. C. S Lewis (fantasy and theology) and J.R.R. Tolkien are always favorites. Fiddler on the Roof, West Side Story, Sound of Music. Most romantic comedies, especially if Meg Ryan is in them. Some of my favorites: Sleepless in Seattle, An Affair to Remember, Under the Tuscan Sun, and French Kiss. The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Die Hard, Terminator, Tequila Sunrise. Monte Python and the Holy Grail. Tora Tora Tora and A Bridge Too Far.

Gray's Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer, any CSI, NCIS, anything on the Discovery Channel, History, or the Food Network. Any show where Giada de Laurentiis cooks. NFL Football; NASCAR.
